Criticism over the enabling of child rapists equals anti-Semitism!?

Pope's preacher compares abuse row to anti-Semitism

Pope Benedict's personal preacher has compared criticism of the pontiff and Church over child abuse to "collective violence" suffered by the Jews.

The Rev Raniero Cantalamessa was speaking at Good Friday prayers in St Peter's Basilica, attended by the Pope.

In his sermon, he quoted a Jewish friend as saying the accusations reminded him of the "more shameful aspects of anti-Semitism".

His comments angered Jewish groups and those representing abuse victims.

The stupid! It burns!!!

Criticizing the child rapist enabling pope and child rapist enabling hierarchical early medieval power structure is akin to hatred and mistrust of some one because they are of a certain (tiny, tiny, tiny) religion? Are these idiots in this early medieval power structure so out of touch with reality that they don't understand the physical and mental anguish the victims of these rapists went through, the mental anguish that they will go through for the rest of their lives? The criticism isn't an attack on catholics, it is criticism of the early medieval power structures lack of action against child rapists!

To catholics: Do these scandals effect you faith?
