Pareidolia in Frying Pan

Image of Jesus 'appears in a frying pan'

Pareadolia rying panToby Elles, 22, made the discovery after burning the food when he fell asleep while cooking.

After lifting off the scorched bacon Mr Elles, from Salford, Lancs, could not believe his eyes when the Christlike image stared back at him.

The face is complete with eyes, nose, a beard and is framed by long flowing hair.

Thats not Jesus! Thats the crazy guy who lives down the street from me. Wait! That means the crazy guy is Jesus!

"My housemates and I had a few beers earlier in the evening I thought I would snack before going to bed and as it was cooking I decided to take a rest on the couch.

"When I woke up about an hour later the room was full of smoke.

You where in the middle of cooking and laid down? Exactly how drunk were you? By "a few" do you mean a 24 pack?

"I'm not going to scrub it clean though, just in case I get struck by lightning, it's going to take pride of place on a wall instead.

"It's become quite a talking point for people who come round to the house and I have even thought I might get a glass cabinet to put it in.

"I'm going to keep it for the rest of my life, perhaps it can watch over me.

What a waist of a good pan. Its called pareidolia. Its your brain imposing patterns where there are none.
If Jesus existed, we don't know what the hell he looked like so that may not be Jesus, it may be the devil. He was cooking bacon and God hates bacon (Leviticus 11:7-8)

Is there even evidence that Jesus looked like that? Funny line of thought.

If he existed; none. I did see a show on the Discovery Channel or the History Channel (doesn’t matter which, nether have any credibility any more) where they used surviving paintings of people in that time an region to figure out what he might have looked like. It was nothing like how he’s depicted.

I agree – Discovery Channel isn’t a channel on sci-tech or culture anymore, we have things like conspiracy theories and pseudoscientific theories (can you believe dowsing was in one of the magazine issues?) being aired. Sigh.

By the way, is National Geographic any better?

    • avatar Lone Wolf says:

Right now the National Geographic is allot better. But its about making money so it can fall same traps as the Discovery did.

Let’s pray to FSM that it won’t.
