God drownds the Egyption army (Exodus 14:26-28)
Okay so they where coming to kill the Israelites but, did God have to kill them? God is powerful enough to turn water into blood, send plagues, split seas, drown the world. Couldn't he have caused there chariots to fall apart and there horses to turn against them than run away? Not only would it have been bloodless but it would have been a far more humiliating defeat for the Egyptians.
Killing the warshipers of the golden idle ()
Moses spends so much times on the mountain some think that he's dead, with out a leader, far from the only home they knew. So what do they do? They turn to a god, not Jehovah (that God took them to the middle of the desert) so they turn to a different god and they make an idle. Moses comes down and God tels Moses to tell the sone of Levi to kill the people who worshiped the idle.
For some reason God will only speak to Mosses and no one else and Mosses was on the mountain for so long that some thought we has dead, they had fled Egypt, every thing they have ever known. What did God think they would do? And God is a god, he should have known what was going on and said something to them.
And why did God want them to die? If what they did really worth death?
Nadab and Abihu (
Nadab and Abihu the sons of Aaron brought "strange fire" (violating some rule on sacrificing animal as burn offerings) so God killed them by burning them to death, then Mosses comforts there father by saying "It [is] that which Jehovah hath spoken, saying, By those drawing near to Me I am sanctified, and in the face of all the people I am honoured" (Leviticus 10:3 Young's Literal Translation) then has there body's dragged out of the camp and tells Aaron that he is not to morn the deaths of his sons or he will die.
Need I say anything? or is the evil clear enough?
A blasphimer ()
A man blasphemed so God tells Mosses (again he doesn't speak to no one else) that he is to be stoned to death.
Complain and die! ()
The people complained, and this angered God, so he burned them, to death.
But that was not enough to stop the people from complaining. They wanted meat and they remembered all that they had gotten in Egypt, they remembered the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic and Mosses asked God to get them some meat and God said "Oh I'll give them some fucking' meat, they wan't have meat for a day or a week but for a month. I'll give them so much meat it will come out there nose and sicken! The fuckers!" And God gave them meat, enough for a month for all 600,000 of them. But God was angry and sent a plague to them.
There life in the desert was so bad pined for there life of slavery in Egypt? How good a god God must be to delver a people from slavery to something worse and then murder them when they complain then this evil god kills them for complaining.
The more I read the bible the more it sickens me.

I myself have asked that question. Exactly why did God have to kill all those hoards of people? He himself said ‘thou shall not kill’, but that makes it okay for Him to do it? I myself am a christian, but don’t percieve myself as on a higher tier because of that. I love getting other persons’ views on these type of things.
Can you also give a critical analsis of 2 chronicles 13&14?, afterall they’re among the biggest bloodsheds in the Bible
[...] 2 Chronicles 13-14 By request from Edward [...]
Not the most bloody part of the bible but still bloody. Which is saying allot consider how bloody the chapters are.
Really?, they are personally the most bloodiest chapters in the Bible I know of with 1.5 million deaths. Of course Noah’s flood surpass that and gets the death toll in the tens of millions but the text doesn’t say how many people died
People are fond of pointing out all of the deaths in scripture, but that’s one of the things that I find makes the Bible so believable and practical… unlike man’s works, that tend to sugar-coat reality to make their stories more acceptable, and, these days, politically-correct. God shows everything, even the mistakes His people made, as an example to later generations. He isn’t into ‘quick-fix’ scenarios, but strives with a stubborn and willful people, who feel that their wisdom is superior to His. Usually, if God has to execute judgement, it is only after a long and protracted session of dealing with people who simply refuse to allow themselves to be helped, and then God just steps aside and lets nature take it’s course. Like a kid that refuses to leave that hot pot alone… you know he’ll eventually pull it down on his head, and scald himself.
People (conveniently) overlook the fact that God’s interventions are actually RARE in comparison with what He merely ALLOWS to happen, which is what would happen in an evolutionary paradigm if it indeed existed. Try reading the book of Job, sometime, and see who is also involved (besides man, himself) in the wanton killing… Satan! Oh yeah… him! The guy that never seems to get any credit for what he does CONTINUALLY, every day, and ever since Old Testament days, without let-up! I’d like for him to get his full credit, too, and not have it all heaped on God, all the time! I mean… after all, he IS the devil!
Israel had a special mandate, which was to be the beacon of good society to all other nations. You know the saying; from those who receive much, much is expected? Well, Israel had received the promise of their own land and God’s presence with them, CONDITIONALLY upon their obedience. They had to pass through some hostile country to get where they were supposed to go, and not all of the natives actually appreciated them doing that, BUT there were those that did give them hospitality, and were blessed for it. The ones that decided that they were going to fuck with them, ended up getting what they deserved. I call that justice. Every human being has a sense of what’s right and wrong, and nobody can tell me that those punks didn’t know it was wrong to kill people who were just passing through their territory! And they were all killed to the last baby? Oh… boo-hoo! Saved the babies being ROASTED to death SLOWLY on a pagan alter by their deranged parents, in an obscene offering to Moloch! (Satan) That’s what pagan nations did, when they weren’t killing each other, and committing other untold debaucheries. Bloody history? Wasn’t fucking bloody enough, where those pigs were concerned, if you ask me!
But you know, I’ve never seen any argument won with someone who is determined not to be told, and usually, whenever someone sets up a blog, he/she has already determined thet it is THEY who will do the telling and the teaching. My experience has been that only God, Himself, can impress people to believe, not other people. Suffice to say that you are operating, here, with only a small part of a greater reality where biblical history is concerned… and hey, I don’t have to worry, because I know what’s truth, and I can sleep at night in a world gone bonkers.
And if you think that the Old Testament was bloody, wait until the future when the latter part of Revelation’s prophecies unfold! Everything up to then will have seemed like a picnic!
If it’s blood that bothers you, Wolf, I’d stop reading scripture, if I were you!
Some of your points are well thought through and are powerfully communicated. The use of the “F” word, however? Why be so angry and offensive? Just state your position clearly, lest the truths you have posted become clouded by offensive and in my opinion, non-Christian language.
You miss the point of the post, the point of the post is that the god of the Bible is an evil, blood thirsty, genocidal tyrant who calls people to kill in his name. And there is no justification for the murders he is responsible for. He murders every man, woman, child and animal on earth except for a few on an ark, he delights in the murder of Egyptians as he hardens the hard the the Pharaoh so we wont release the Children of Israel thus leading God to send another plague targeting the people of Egypt. He tells people to commit genocide not only killing men and woman but children and animals.
You ask why Satan hasn’t gotten any credit. well what has he done? Christans like to use him as a scape goat theres but there nothing in the bible that says satan is responable for the things Christans blame him for. But I’ve allready talked about satan and he’s not what you expect.
You say the pagans that were murdered sacrificed children, and say that pagans were deranged. Whats this based on? Nothing? Theres nothing to suggest that the pagans that were murdered did that. In fact the god of the bible did call on people to sacrifice there children (Exodus 13:2).
You say God gave the Israelites things. What did he give them? He took them out of Egypt but if you read exodus you’ll find that once out of Egypt they complained, complained about not having water or the good food they had in Egypt in fact it seems as if they prefers slavery in Egypt than life in the desert. And why not? Wouldn’t you rather live in a place with abundant resources than wandering through the desert not knowing if the next week will be your last cause you may starve to death cause of of the lack of resources in the desert. What did he give them?
I am a critic of the bible, I read the bible . I criticise it cause it is the basis for the largest religion in the world, a religion many are trying to force into the government, a religion that surrounds me and looked to as a moral guide book by many. It is an evil book full of violence, genocide, homophobia, sexism and immorality. And the god in it is an evil genocidal tyrant.
I would never encourage people not to read the bible, I encourage people to read it, all of it. I encourage you to read it, all of it.
Okay so what does Deuteronomy 12:31 mean?
“You shall not behave thus toward the LORD your God, for every abominable act which the LORD hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.”
Read the whole chapter.
Knowledge is power. Don’t be a lemming. Learn!!!! Question!!!! Comprehend!!!! Decide!!!! Don’t have someone persuade you to believe something. Take it into your own hands, your own being, put the effort forth and find out for yourself the answer to “what are MY beliefs?” Everyone says that your life to ETERNITY is at stake, are you too lazy to make an effort to find out all the information you can?!?!
I agree with you all the way up to
“Everyone says that your life to ETERNITY is at stake, are you too lazy to make an effort to find out all the information you can?!?!”
First no one has said “life to ETERNITY is at stake” second: I’ve studied the bible, in fact I have a whole about it. And there is no problem with using other people research (so long as they release it to the public) in fact many people don’t have time to do the research.
Maybe you should practice what you preach.

People are waking up all over..to the truth.
The god of the bible is evil..very evil, blood thirsty, and loves the smell of blood..I woke up..I too was into christianity, grew up in it, not anymore..I have been researching ever since..no more padlock on my brain..thats the problem, people get sucked into something about the otherside cause they are scared of what is on the other side..but we are spirits, have always existed and believe this to be real that we are in..we got caught up in this world…its good to be free as now I can see.
